The Dutch landed on Manhattan Island in 1624 establishing their first settlement in North America, New Amsterdam in New Netherland. Their children and grandchildren built houses in New Jersey. Most Americans do not know the extent of their influence on our nation.

The Meadows Foundation has saved six historic houses that were part of an 18th Century Dutch farming community. We have more early Dutch houses here in central New Jersey than are in the whole city of New York. We need your help in the preservation, restoration and programming of these unique 18th Century Dutch sites. The Meadows Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization and your contributions are tax deductible.
